Morshed Milton is reported to be a local leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and to serve as president of the Gabtali Upazila BNP in Bogura. He has been described as an active figure in the politics of the Bogura‑7 constituency, which is said to cover the Gabtali and Shajahanpur areas.
Media reports indicate that his candidacy received wider attention after he filed for the Bogura‑7 parliamentary seat. The seat had originally been allocated to the late BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia; her nomination process was closed following her death in late December 2025.
